Here is the web site for information on the new article 43 of our Contract between CWA and AT&T . Please take the time to read it over carefully. We had heard rumors for some time that AT&T was going to offer a blanket VTP to both outside and inside OSWF. Their intentions were to complete their outsourcing of all OSWF work by first bringing in the outside after the VTP's were taken, then to move them to other offices eventually. This Article will insure that we don't lose all our Unionized OSWF.
This negotiation has an important inclusion--job security language. There is a "1000 occupational "watermark for OSWF. Avaya has similar language in their Contract and they are 600+ over their "watermark". Additionally, they have added a "variable work force" that will be Union to be used instead of Contractors.
